Envisioning and Inspiring the Body of Christ for Children

Through a collaboration of the Philippine Children’s Ministries Network (PCMN), Mindanao Children’s Ministries Network (MCMN)-Davao and SOCKSARGEN Children’s Ministries Network (SCMN), church leaders, Christians in NGO, academe, government, business, media and other professions will convene in the Mindanao Children’s Stakeholders’ Congress for visioning and mobilization of the body of Christ for the Filipino children. The Congress will be held on August 17-19, 2010 at Durian Garden, Polomolok, South Cotabato.

The state of an increasing number of Filipino children continues to worsen. If we are to help reverse this trend and participate in the great task of raising up of a godly generation of people that will impact the nation for good, we need each one in the body of Christ to be part of a concerted effort to make it so. We hope that everyone’s zeal and commitment to work together for children will be renewed and impel all to take action in behalf of the children.

The Congress will provide timely and relevant messages and information, as well as opportunities to connect with one another for greater synergy. They are:

• God’s Heart for Children – a plenary session that will deepen the stakeholders understanding of God’s purpose for children by looking at the Scriptures.
• <Spiritual State of the Filipino Children – a presentation of the OneHope’s research that will provide the current spiritual state of Filipino children and youth, and will challenge the stakeholders to ponder for better and appropriate response.
• The Stakeholders’ Roles and Responsibilities – a panel discussion and open forum on the roles and responsibilities of the Family, Church, Government, Media and Business Sector in addressing the needs and issues of children.
• Tracks/Workshops on Children’s Rights and Child Protection Laws, Collaboration for Better Child Protection, Raising a Rock Solid Kid (Discipleship for Children), Being a Child Advocate, and Creating a Child-Friendly Community
• Acquaintance and fun-night, networking and praying.

Registration fee is Php2,500 to cover the food and accommodation for 3 days and materials. Pre-registration and a reservation fee of Php500 are required to confirm participation. The pre-registration payment will be deducted from the registration fee. It can be deposited to:
